This year marks the 17th anniversary of the annual Public Health Finance Roundtable. In 2005, the first meeting was held as an ad hoc meeting of the American Public Health Association Annual Meeting. This affiliation continues with support from LSU School of Public Health.
The purpose of this annual event is to advance concepts of public health finance which is defined as:
Public Health Finance is a field of study that examines the acquisition, utilization, and management of resources for the delivery of public health functions and the impact of those resources on population health and the public health system. Honoré P, Amy B. Public Health Finance: Fundamental Theories, Concepts, and Definitions. J Public Health Manag Pract, 2007, 13(2), 87-89.
The meetings are used as a method to disseminate and share information on finance and related topics in the context of public health practice in addition to discussions on public health finance research. The agendas and materials from prior years are below. You can e-mail your suggested Roundtable agenda topics to Snow.Wang@eagles.usm.edu. You can also include in the email your interest in receiving the Roundtable announcement that will be sent later this year.
